UNIONTOWN, Pa. — Police are searching for a suspect who they say fired a gun inside a Fayette County bar early Friday morning, sending a bullet in an upstairs apartment where Uniontown’s mayor lives.
Authorities said the shooting happened at Park’s Casino bar, which is owned by the Uniontown mayor’s daughter, along Connellsville Street in Uniontown just before 2 a.m.
A witness told Channel 11’s Julie Fine that the incident began as a fight between a few people and ended up with shots being fired, apparently at no one in particular.
Police said they have a warrant for Tamerra Hall, who had a concealed gun and fired the gun into the ceiling of the Park’s Casino bar.
Officials said that about 20 people were in the bar at the time of the shooting.
According to the criminal complaint, “the bullet traveled through the ceiling and into the upstairs residence” where the Uniontown mayor lives; however, the mayor was not home at the time of the shooting.
