Thunder and lightning could be heard and seen at the Channel 11 News studios around 6 a.m., but Smock said the heaviest rain will move in later Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Channel 11’s Brandon Hudson was at the North Shore for his morning reports and was stuck inside a WPXI-TV live truck while the early-morning storms passed through.

Brief rain is possible with some gusty winds not out of the question throughout the day.
