WEST WHEATFIELD TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The coroner has been called to a multi-vehicle crash in Indiana County, which has had a roadway shut down for hours, state police confirm.

Indiana County District Attorney Robert F Manzi, Jr. said the “significant” crash is in the area of Route 22 and Mount Tabor Road in West Wheatfield Township. Dispatchers said the call came in around 8:30 a.m.

State police said that two semi trucks, a garbage truck and a car were involved.

Manzi is advising drivers to use a different route because the road is expected to be closed for several hours.

As of 1:30 p.m., Route 22 was still closed.
