SLIPPERY ROCK, Pa. — A retired Slippery Rock University professor has died from injuries sustained in a freak accident at Bob’s Sub and Sandwich Shop Monday afternoon.
Police said Glen Brunken, 60, was walking into the Main Street restaurant to meet a friend for lunch when he fell through a door and cut his neck badly.
He was flown to a Pittsburgh hospital, where he later died.
Investigators said Brunken walks with a cane, but it’s unclear how or why he fell.
Brunken was a professor at Slippery Rock University for 40 years.
