Some Route 66 ramps will close for a week as part of pavement preservation project

Several ramps on Route 66 in Westmoreland County will be closed for the next week.

PennDOT is closing ramps on Route 66 and Route 380 between the Washington Township Fire Department and the Beaver Run Road/North Washington Road intersection for a pavement preservation project.

The following ramps will close between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1 so crews can reconstruct ramp intersections at Route 66:

  • Route 380 westbound off-ramp to Route 66
  • Route 380 eastbound off-ramp to Route 66
  • Route 66 on-ramp to Route 380 eastbound

The southbound Route 66 on-ramp to westbound Route 380 will remain open.

This work is part of the $12.9 million Route 66 Pavement Preservation project, which is slated to conclude in the fall of 2027.
