SOUTH HUNTINGDON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — The Pennsylvania Game Commission is investigating illegal UTV use on state game lands in Westmoreland County.

It happened Sunday morning on a seasonal access road off Mount Etna Road within South Huntingdon Township’s State Game Lands 296, officials say.

Multiple people were involved in the incident, in which UTVs drove in an area closed to vehicles and damaged a gate and trees, according to a social media post from the Game Commission.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Game Commission’s central dispatch at 1-833-PGC-HUNT or the Operation Game Thief Hotline at 1-888-PGC-8001.
