No injuries were reported, but the SUV driver fled on foot, according to state police. It was not immediately known why the man ran away.

The crash may have been head-on, state police told Valley News Dispatch.

No further description of the man was immediately available and no one else was in the SUV with him, state police said.

Authorities told Valley News Dispatch that the crash caused a 3-mile backlog of traffic, which was clear about an hour later.
