MARIANNA, Pa. — The Washington County coroner confirmed Tuesday evening that a man and woman found shot to death at a Marianna home earlier in the day are believed to have been killed in a murder-suicide.

According to Washington County Coroner Tom Warco, a friend who made forcible entry into a home on Patterson Run Road found Julie Bottles, 47, dead on the floor of a bedroom. Warco said Bottles’ live-in companion, Curtis Michael, 49, was also found dead on a bed in a room with gunshot wounds.

The shooting is believed to have happened between 9:15 p.m. Monday and 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Warco ruled Bottles’ and Michael’s cause of death as gunshot wounds. Their manner of death is still pending the results of an investigation.
