LIBERTY TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police in Mercer County are asking for help from the public to identify a man accused of trying to break into a woman’s apartment.
A state police spokesperson says the first incident was on Dec. 6 after 2:30 p.m. The man is seen on video trying to get into an apartment on Deer Path Lane in Liberty Township. Police say he appeared to be “attempting to avoid making noise” while approaching and leaving the area. He returned a second time and tried to get the victim to come to the door.
Another incident happened on Dec. 8 after 10:20 p.m. The man returned to the apartment again and was seen “loitering and listening” outside the door before leaving.
The spokespersons said the man is not known to the victim and is currently considered suspicious.
