The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed former Pitt strong safety Brandon Hill, the team announced on Tuesday.
Hill, 25, was a seventh-round pick of the Houston Texans in the 2023 NFL Draft and has bounced around the league from Houston to the Las Vegas Raiders and most recently, the Chicago Bears, who released him on Aug. 11.
A 5-foot-11, 195-pound native of Apopka, Florida, Hill redshirted in 2019, and became a regular in 2020 before starting in his final two seasons at Pitt in 2021 and 2022. He had three interceptions and nine passes defended over his Panthers career, including a pix six in 2020 against Florida State.
