PITTSBURGH — Single-lane restrictions and rolling stoppages will affect the Fort Pitt and Liberty tunnels in Pittsburgh on Sunday, weather permitting.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced the temporary traffic changes to allow crews to perform survey work between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.
The survey work in Allegheny County will involve mobile single-lane restrictions along with rolling stoppages lasting up to 15 minutes. The restrictions will impact travel along the Parkway West at the Fort Pitt Tunnel and Route 3069 at the Liberty Tunnel.
Survey work at the Fort Pitt Tunnel on the Parkway West will begin in the inbound direction from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Restrictions on outbound Parkway West will immediately follow from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m.
Crews will then move to the Liberty Tunnel on Route 3069. Inbound Route 3069 restrictions are scheduled from 8 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., followed by outbound Route 3069 restrictions from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.
