ROSS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police in Ross Township are looking for a man accused of stealing several expensive vacuum cleaners from a department store.

Officials said surveillance video shows the man stealing Dyson vacuum cleaners from Kohl's on McKnight Road as co-conspirators act as lookouts. Authorities said the store has been hit five times in the past month.

“These individuals have done something a little different. They simply grab the items and walk out of the store,” Ross Township Police Sgt. Ben Dripps said. “I know it’s surprising. It was a shock to us, and apparently there is a black market for these items.”

According to police, there is a market for the vacuums, and these kinds of thefts will force retailers to charge the consumer more. The vacuums are currently worth about $700 each.

Police have not released any information about the potential suspects.
