SWAT situation in Allentown ends peacefully

ALLENTOWN, Pa. — A SWAT situation in Pittsburgh’s Allentown neighborhood ended peacefully after about three hours Monday night.

Authorities said police were called to a home on Arlington Avenue just before 9 p.m. to check on a person’s mental status.

When the person refused to come out, SWAT team members were called in, police said.

Police haven’t said if any charges were filed.

The ordeal ended about three hours later and no injuries were reported.
