McKEESPORT, Pa. — Authorities are investigating after a teenager was shot while sitting outside Tuesday afternoon in McKeesport.

According to police, the shooting was reported around 2:30 p.m. on Soles Street.

A witness told Channel 11's Courtney Brennan they were mowing the grass at a nearby church, heard at least four shots and ran to find 19-year-old Robert Smarr with a gunshot wound in the neck area.

Investigators said Smarr was sitting on the front porch of a home with friends at the time of the shooting.

Smarr’s grandmother told Brennan he was airlifted to Allegheny General Hospital in critical condition.

So far, no arrests have been made and police haven’t released any information about possible suspects or a motive.
