LANSING, Mich. — A teenager from Pittsburgh was killed and his father was injured after a house fire in Lansing, Michigan.
17-year-old Michael Robert Pape Jr. was unable to get out of the house when a fire started at their house on Rulison Street on Feb. 6.
Our NBC affiliate WILX in Michigan said the house was left with structural instability.
Pape’s father went back into the house to save him and is currently in a medically induced coma as he suffered severe burns.
The family has set up a GoFundMe to help with funeral costs.
