Thompson Run Road in Wilkins Township to close for ‘emergency maintenance’

WILKINS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Thompson Run Road in Wilkins Township will soon close for “emergency maintenance,” PennDOT says.

Starting Monday, Thompson Run Road (Route 2065) will close between the Rodi Road/Larimer Avenue intersection and Northern Pike.

The closure will continue around the clock until 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Crews will remove debris, patch part of the roadway and work on the rock lining where Thompson Run Road crosses over Thompson Run.

Here are PennDOT’s posted detours:

South of the closure

  • From Thompson Run Road head south
  • Turn right onto Rodi Road
  • Take the ramp to eastbound William Penn Highway/Business 22
  • Turn left onto Northern Pike
  • Turn left onto Thompson Run Road
  • End detour

North of the closure

  • Same detour in the opposite direction

Drivers are urged to be cautious in the area and give themselves extra travel time.
