PITTSBURGH — CardVault by Tom Brady announced Friday that it will open its 20th retail location on Nov. 1 at The Terminal in Pittsburgh’s Strip District.
The store, located at 1659 Smallman Street, marks the expansion of the national retail chain dedicated to sports cards, trading cards and authenticated memorabilia.
The Pittsburgh store follows recent CardVault openings in Los Angeles and Indianapolis. The company chose the Strip District location to enter a sports market that includes the Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates, alongside the University of Pittsburgh Panthers.
Chris Costa serves as co-founder and managing partner of CardVault by Brady. He highlighted the region’s sports culture ahead of the launch.
“Pittsburgh is one of America’s great sports cities and we’re excited to bring CardVault to its passionate community of fans and collectors,” Costa said. “Our 20th store reflects the momentum we’re building nationwide as we introduce a new generation of collectors to the hobby.”
The retail outlet will offer single cards, sealed boxes, packs and collectibles from brands including Topps, Panini, Upper Deck, Pokémon and Fanatics Authentic. Customers will also be able to submit cards for professional grading services through PSA, Beckett and SGC. Additionally, the location will feature a specialized vault displaying a rotating selection of autographed memorabilia, including game-used or signed helmets, jerseys, bats and balls.
A grand opening event is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 1, starting at 10 a.m. The first 25 customers in line will receive a limited-edition Pittsburgh-themed hat. Attendees will have the opportunity to enter a giveaway for an autographed Paul Skenes baseball. Fans waiting in line prior to opening can also enter a drawing for two tickets to that Sunday’s Pittsburgh Steelers game, with the winner announced inside the store at 11 a.m.
Following the grand opening, the store will operate daily from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The location plans to host ongoing community events, including regular trade nights, product launches and special guest appearances.
