DONEGAL TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Stahlstown farmer was killed Monday after investigators said he was pinned beneath his tractor after it tipped over and caught fire.
The Westmoreland County coroner's office said Floyd Snyder Jr., 56, was gathering hay on his farm in Donegal Township when the tractor tipped over about 2 p.m. Monday.
Investigators said the fire was fed by diesel fuel that leaked from the wrecked tractor. The coroner's office said Snyder died at the scene from burns.
