PITTSBURGH — Trans-Siberian Orchestra is bringing its 30th anniversary winter tour to Pittsburgh.
The arena rock legends will present a reimagined production of “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” at PPG Paints Arena on Dec. 19.
In addition to a high-energy musical performance, the show promises over-the-top lasers, pyrotechnics and special effects.
“Thirty years in, we never take a single person in that audience for granted,” TSO music director and guitarist Al Pitrelli said. “With the economy the way that it is right now, it shouldn’t be a mortgage payment for a family to come out to see us. ... We want to make sure you guys can come out and celebrate because you and everyone in that audience are the greatest fans in the world.”
Fan club pre-sales begin today, Sept. 10, and tomorrow, Sept. 11. General pre-sales follow Sept. 17, and tickets go on sale for the public Sept. 18.
