MOON TWP., Pa. — Tree cutters and roofers were working to repair the damage caused by a tree that fell onto a home in Moon Township early Tuesday.
The tree uprooted and toppled onto the home along Hawthorne Drive during heavy rain.

“We heard a big boom and the whole house shook,” homeowner Denise Haught said.
No one inside the home was hurt but the family was forced to stay at a relative’s house.
“It went through my bedroom and my son’s bedroom,” Haught said. There is a hole in the roof and both rooms sustained water damage.
Roofers told Channel 11's Jennifer Tomazic they should have a temporary fix before the end of the day that will keep the water out of the home. The entire roof will need to be replaced.
