A few years after a previous plan to build 125 rental homes on a Penn Avenue nexus of North Point Breeze and Homewood faded and then died, downtown-based Trek Development Group is working to bring a new multifamily development to a city-owned property next to Rockwell Park.
“We think we’re zeroing in on a plan that will be generative for the neighborhood,” said Bill Gatti, president and CEO of Trek, who added his firm was chosen by the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh as the property owner to pursue a new project last fall.
Trek is scheduled for what’s expected to be its third community meeting and first official Development Activities Meeting for its proposal for a site known as Lexington Technology Park on Monday evening, October 12, for a property the Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh last teed up for a new housing project before the pandemic.
