PITTSBURGH — The Urban Redevelopment Authority of Pittsburgh has officially replaced the Shop’n Save grocery store that closed at the Centre-Heldman Plaza in the Hill District in 2019.
The URA announced today that it has reached a lease agreement with Salem’s Market and Grill, a busy ethnic market offering prepared foods and specialties, such as Halal meats, out of its market in the Strip District.
Salem’s will now open a new market in the more than 30,000-square-foot former Shop’n Save that closed in the Centre-Heldman Plaza in March 2019, leaving the Hill District community without a local grocery store.
