PHILADELPHIA — A U.S. Airways flight landed in Philadelphia amid a bomb threat Wednesday afternoon.
The flight was en route from Shannon, Ireland, and made the scheduled stop at Philadelphia International Airport about 2 p.m., where the Boeing 757 aircraft was taken to a remote location to be checked, U.S. Airways said.
Law enforcement and Homeland Security agents searched the plane, and passengers were screened as a precaution. Nothing suspicious was found.
According to U.S. Airways, 171 passengers and eight crew members were on board the flight.
