U.S. Marshals arrest North Side homicide suspect

PITTSBURGH — The U.S. Marshals Western Pennsylvania Fugitive Task Force arrested a man Tuesday wanted in connection with a fatal shooting in the Marshall-Shadeland area last month.

Authorities found 53-year-old David Micklos hiding under a bed inside a home on Kennedy Avenue, Pittsburgh police Lt. Kevin Kraus said.

Micklos is accused of shooting 66-year-old Richard Didonato, who was found on Woodland Avenue on the night of Feb. 10.

Police have said they believe that the shooting was drug-related.

Didonato was conscious when police arrived on the scene but later died that evening at Allegheny General Hospital.

Micklos was taken into custody on a warrant charging him with homicide, robbery and a firearms violation, Kraus said.
