PITTSBURGH — U.S. News and World Report has released its list of best online MBA programs in the country, and two Pittsburgh universities ranked highly.
Data is collected directly from questionnaires sent to schools with online MBA programs. Schools are measured across five categories: engagement of students and faculty (weighted at 30%), expert opinion (weighted at 25%), faculty credentials and training (weighted at 15%), student excellence (weighted at 15%) and student services and technologies (weighted at 15%).
The Carnegie Mellon University Tepper School of Business ranked at spot No. 4 overall, out of 327 total programs that were ranked. It scored a total of 97 out of 100. Here is how it ranked across the different categories in which it was assessed:
- Faculty credentials and training: 220 (score: 78)
- Services and technologies: 271 (score: 37)
- Engagement: 3 (score: 95)
- Student excellence: 24 (score: 87)
- Expert opinion score (out of 5): 4.2
