MUNHALL, Pa. — An early-morning water main break Friday caused icy conditions on a Munhall road.
Channel 11 News was on West Homestead-Duquesne Road at the intersection of Calvert Street as water streamed out on the roadway.
Channel 11’s Lori Houy reported that some areas of the road were iced over as the water continued to flow.

“The break is causing some substantial ice building on the roads here. We have a company of salt trucks right now salting the roads. We’re asking motorists to use an abundance of caution right now until the roads are thoroughly treated,” said PA American Water spokesman Gary Lobaugh.
Lobaugh said the break should be repaired by Friday afternoon.
