BUFFALO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Road conditions and speed may have been factors in a fatal crash in Buffalo Township early Sunday morning, officials said.
The crash occurred just after 4 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 70, killing 28-year-old Ryan Rungo, of Brilliant, Ohio.
According to Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco, a Ford SUV driven by Rungo spun out into the median and rolled onto its side. Rungo was trapped inside the vehicle.
Warco said the snow-covered road and speed may have contributed to the accident.
State police in Washington are conducting an investigation.
