WESTMORELAND COUNTY, Pa. — Westmoreland County Community College closed its campuses Monday due to an unspecified threat, which state police are helping to investigate.
School officials have not returned a call for comment, but the school, which is based in Youngwood, said Monday on Twitter, "There was a threat to our campus and we are currently investigating. All campuses remain closed for the day."
Trooper Steve Limani, spokesman for the Greensburg barracks, confirmed police have been investigating but said all information is being handled by the school.
The school has eight satellite locations in three other southwestern Pennsylvania counties: Greene, Fayette and Indiana.
No injuries or dangerous incidents have been reported.
