Winning scratch-off lottery ticket worth $7.25M sold at Beaver County gas station

NEW BRIGHTON, Pa. — A winning Pennsylvania Lottery Scratch-Off ticket worth a cash option of $7.25 million was sold at a store in Beaver County.

The store, a Speedway located at 410 5th St. in New Brighton, will receive a $10,000 bonus for selling the top prize ticket.

The ticket was purchased for the $500,000 a Year for Life game, which costs $20 to play.

The $500,000 a Year for Life game gives top prize winners the choice between an annuity payout of $500,000 a year for life or a single cash option of $7.25 million, prior to applicable withholding.

Scratch-off tickets are distributed at random to retailers, meaning state lottery officials and store employees do not know where winning tickets are located until a prize is officially claimed.
