PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh police are investigating the first homicide in the city of 2015 after a Perry North teenager died from gunshot wounds he suffered from a shooting on the North Side Friday afternoon.
Authorities said a call initially came in around 2:45 p.m. about a man lying on Manhattan Street in Pittsburgh’s Manchester neighborhood with a gunshot wound to his chest.
The victim, 19-year-old Davonte Stevenson, was taken to Allegheny General Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
The medical examiner's office said an autopsy will be conducted on Saturday.
According to witnesses, the man was walking when he was shot by someone in a car.
Authorities said at least seven shots were fired at Stevenson.
Police said they’re looking for a white Cadillac car.
