SHENANGO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police said a 66-year-old woman set up her own surveillance cameras inside her Shenango Township apartment after noticing her prescription medications were disappearing.

Authorities said they weren’t sure if the woman was over medicating herself when they couldn’t find evidence that someone was breaking into her home to take her pills.

However, surveillance video set up by the woman shows her 30-year-old neighbor Erica Rossi enter her home and go into the bedroom. The video shows Rossi go into a dresser drawer and take Oxycodone.

“(The victim) went above and beyond. This is something most people wouldn’t think of. She did a great job,” Shenango Township police Officer William Phillips said.

Detectives said the video was able to quickly identify Rossi as their suspect and she was arrested.
