Woman hit by vehicle in Carrick

PITTSBURGH — A woman was hit by a vehicle in Carrick Monday night.

A Pittsburgh Police Public Information Officer said the woman tried to cross Brownsville Road in the 2200 block of Brownsville Road at 9:30 p.m. when she was struck.

Police say she was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident.

She was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
