ZELIENOPLE, Pa. — A Zelienople mother of three accused of selling potentially fatal heroin faced a judge Tuesday.

April Opperman, 41, was arrested last week in connection with an investigation into heroin that’s being blamed for nearly two dozen deaths in the Pittsburgh area.

A judge added additional charges against Opperman, including selling to a confidential informant. The judge also increased her bond to $110,000, officials said.

Channel 11's Amy Marcinkiewicz was in court Tuesday and talked to Opperman as she was leaving the hearing.

According to police, Opperman’s 17-year-old daughter allegedly overdosed inside her home. Police said medics revived the teen and she is now cooperating with police.

“Do you sell drugs? Do you sell heroin? Are you a good mother?” Marcinkiewicz asked.

“Yes, I am (a good mother),” Opperman said. “Are you a good mother? Worry about yourself.”
