PITTSBURGH — A 25-year-old man was shot and killed in Pittsburgh’s Elliot neighborhood early Friday morning.

Investigators said Ronnel Smith, of McKees Rocks, was getting in his car near Pittsburgh Police Zone 6’s station when gunfire erupted.

Officers said they were called to the intersection of Steuben and Sanctus streets around 2 a.m. Detectives said Smith was leaving Lee Tuck Lounge when he was shot.

Police said there are two suspects in the case, and they were last seen running down Sanctus Street.

“I believe it was closing time when this happened. I believe the bar was shutting down and people were on their way home,” said Pittsburgh Police spokeswoman Sonya Toler.

Toler said detectives are interviewing several witnesses, but so far no arrests have been made.
