Medical examiner identifies man found fatally stabbed in Carrick

PITTSBURGH — A man was found fatally stabbed Monday morning at an apartment in Pittsburgh’s Carrick neighborhood, officials said.

The discovery was reported about 7 a.m. on Brownsville Road, where police and the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office responded.

The medical examiner identified the victim as Bhim Rai, 26, of Carrick and ruled his manner of death as a homicide.

Authorities said they are talking to people in the area, including the person who found the victim, to learn what may have happened.
