Man identified after deadly shooting on Pittsburgh’s North Side

PITTSBURGH — One person was killed and another was injured after a shooting on Pittsburgh’s North Side Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 3 p.m. at the intersection of Norwood Avenue and Kennedy Avenue.

Police said a man who was found inside a car with a gunshot wound to the head was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman was shot in the arm and taken to a local hospital.

The victim was identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office as Cedric Mack, 41.

The area was searched, but police were unable to locate the person or people responsible.
