PITTSBURGH — The man police were looking for in connection with the deadly shooting of his pregnant girlfriend was found dead Friday morning.
Investigators said Karesse Lawrence’s body was found inside of a home on Hamilton Avenue in Homewood.
Pittsburgh police said Lawrence shot and killed 20-year-old Lauren Williams in Garfield on Wednesday night.
Following the shooting, police said Lawrence took to Twitter and posted disturbing messages that included, “Show I smoked her” and “Call me a murderer.”
According to family members, Williams was three months pregnant with Lawrence’s child at the time of her death.

Officials said Lawrence held police at bay for a short time, and when SWAT teams got into the home they found Lawrence shot to death.
