CARMICHAEL, Calif. — A group of little leaguers got ripped off big-time by a woman who stole more than $130,000 from youth organizations.
"Over $50,000 has been taken from Carmichael Little League," league secretary Trisha Cumbra told KOVR. Cumbra is faced with budgeting without the missing $52,320.
"It's not new dirt, not having the appropriate tools to cut or mark and having older catchers' equipment and our volunteer umpires have old equipment as well," said Cumbra.

The district attorney says the kids in the Carmichael Little League were allegedly dealt a curve ball by team treasurer Jennifer Haymart. She is now facing felony charges for embezzlement. "I'm curious why she did it, and what she did with all that money," said Cumbra.
Besides the Carmichael Little League, the Sacramento DA alleges Haymart also stole a few hundred dollars more from the Orangevale Jax Titans Baseball Club and more than $85,000 from the Deterring Elementary School's parent-teacher organization.
Haymart faces multiple allegations of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from three separate non-profits for children and now investigators say they have the evidence.
