An elderly cancer patient made a desperate call to 911, after he returned home from months of cancer treatments to discover he didn’t have any food.
Clarence Blackmon, 81, told the dispatcher in Fayetteville, North Carolina that he was too weak to go to the store.

So she went out of her way to help him. Marilyn Hinson and Fayetteville police arrived at his door with groceries.
"It was like a little miracle ringing in my ear, I thought Jesus you have answered those prayers," Blackmon said.
“I cannot stand to see anyone go hungry," Hinson said. She brought him a head of cabbage, cans of beets and beans, popcorn, tomato juice and soft drinks.
Blackmon will never have to make the call again. He will have a nurse come to his home to check on him twice a week.
