ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A homeless man in New Mexico who managed to get himself locked inside a Walmart overnight is accused of consuming and damaging merchandise, police said.
George Suckow, 37, hid in a bathroom until Walmart employees had left and locked up the store early Friday, KOB reported. He spent the night eating chocolate and drinking soda, then opened a pack of adult diapers and put one on, according to the criminal complaint. Suckow then headed to the baby supply aisle, where he opened baby diapers, baby wipes, a pacifier and a bottle, KOB reported.

Suckow was charged with commercial burglary, and is accused of damaging $156 in merchandise, KOB reported.

Suckow's movements triggered an alarm and he was found in the store's bathroom, police said.
The investigation caused nearby stores to have delayed openings for Black Friday, police said.
