A total of about 340 people will be employed at the store.
"The new locations offers customers options that were not previously available, including six-pack beer sales from a café, a warm and inviting pet department, a child learning and activity area and more," said Rob Borella, Giant Eagle senior director of corporate communications.
"We are always looking to improve the shopping experience for our customers by providing new and expanded departments and services, and I think our new Giant Eagle in Glenshaw is a great example," Borella said. "And the store is engineered with a complete shopping experience and convenience in mind."
