AUSTIN, MINNESOTA — The new Spam Museum in Austin, Minnesota will officially welcome the public Friday morning.
The 14-thousand square-foot building has a very modern look, both inside and out, and it also features a lot of interactive displays.
Other notable items include a set of bluegrass instruments made of Spam cans, a 12-foot Spam rocket and a Spam can conveyor suspended from the ceiling.
Built to honor 125th anniversary of Hormel Foods, the museum's goal is to attract 125-thousand visitors in the first year.
The old Spam Museum closed its doors in September 2014.
