NORTH HUNTINGDON, Pa.,None — Police have released new details in a case where one man was shot at a strip club in North Huntingdon in February.
Bryan Plunko, 30, of South Versailles, underwent surgery after police said he was shot in the bathroom at Gloria's Cantina Lounge along Route 30.
Police charged Dominic Panuccio, of North Versailles, with aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person, among other charges, in connection with the shooting.
However, Panuccio and Plunko are friends and said the shooting was accidental. Police said Panuccio told them he was showing Plunko his gun when it went off.
In court on Wednesday, Plunko testified that there was no argument or threat before the shooting. Detectives said they don't believe the shooting was intentional.
Panuccio is due back in court in June.
The club's owner, Gloria Brugnoli, said there weren't any fights or arguments at the club that might have led to the shooting.
"I didn't even know he was shot," said Brugnoli. "I hear, like, a glass breaking, like someone dropped a glass and before you know it, I see the one fella take the other fella out, and he was like, tilted over."
Plunko recovered at Allegheny General Hospital after being shot in his midsection. Police said his friends transported him to the hospital.
