It’s crunch time for holiday packages, and some people in Ingram saw late deliveries snatched right off their porches. But this time, the thieves weren’t entirely pleased with what they stole.

Police said the packages were stolen from houses on Linshaw and Greenwood avenues on Friday.

Tim Ludwig, one of the victims, said he was expecting a package when the police showed up and told him about the thefts. His package was found in an abandoned home a couple blocks away, and he thinks he knows why.

“It wasn't really anything exciting. Actually, a present for our dog and niece and nephew. It was just some coloring books and dog gifts,” he said. “They were probably really disappointed when they opened up the package."

Richard Merriam, who walks up and down the street every day, said, “I’m surprised they'd be doing it (here). There's a lot of people walk their dogs around here. They probably figure no one is watching them.”

Anyone with information is asked to call police.
