OHIO TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A Lyft driver who got angry with two passengers pulled a gun on them and fired a shot into the air, the pair told Channel 11's Steven Fisher.

Todd Reed and his friend, identified only as Ashley, were being picked up in Ohio Township when Ashley realized that she had forgotten her purse. They said they asked the driver to wait while she retrieved it.

“Whenever I exited the vehicle, she got upset and told me that she was going to bust a cap on me and that she was going to teach me a lesson,” Ashley said.

Reed told Channel 11 News that the driver fired a single shot into the air and drove away.

“I heard the gunshot and that’s when I turned around and realized she was shooting.”

Police are investigating. Reed said Lyft told him that the driver was fired.
