AVONWORTH, Pa. — Concerned parents spoke out Monday against an elementary school teacher facing sex abuse charges.
Dozens of parents packed Avonworth Middle School for a district meeting to discuss Walter Street.
Street is a music teacher accused of sexually assaulting a girl. Investigators said the victim was not a student.
Some parents became emotional when discussing their children’s interactions with Street.
“My kids were on his lap. That didn’t have to happen. There is a sexual predator holding our daughters,” one mother said.
The district has since suspended Street.
