The complex holds two hockey rinks, one for Penguins practice and another for the general public to use. Public skate will be held every Saturday and Sunday. There are 1,333 seats total in the complex, 896 of them are at the Penguins’ practice rink.

When the Penguins aren’t using the rink, both sides will be available for public use.

Aside from being a state-of-the-art practice facility for the team, the Lemieux Sports Complex holds over 14 locker rooms, a café, Pens Gear retail store, on-site MRI/x-ray imaging and a dedicated sports performance space with batting cages and a spring track.
