GREENSBURG, Pa. — Police arrested two people Wednesday for allegedly attempting to sell heroin out of a car seat in Greensburg.

Angela Marshall and Martin Mitchell II drove to the Hawksworth Garden Apartments with intent to deliver five bricks of heroin, which they had hidden in a child’s car seat, authorities said.

An informant tipped police off to the heroin possession as part of a narcotics investigation in the city of Greensburg, and a controlled buy with undercover police was set up for Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, when the suspects arrived at the apartment complex, officers removed the occupants -- a man, two women and an infant -- from the vehicle. The child was taken into the custody of the Children’s Bureau, police said.

The heroin was discovered in a white plastic bag under the fabric of the infant’s car seat.

Marshall and Mitchell were arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver, corruption of a minor and possession of a controlled substance, police said.
