MT. OLIVER, Pa.,None — A Mount Oliver woman is facing charges of driving under the influence after Pittsburgh police said she crashed the car she was driving with her two children inside.
Margo Dooley, 33, told police she had done a line of cocaine and was drunk when she tried to turn left onto Forbes Avenue from the Liberty Bridge and hit a concrete barrier, according to a criminal complaint.
The criminal complaint also said that Dooley's 7-year-old son was taken to Children's Hospital in Lawrenceville with cuts and bruising to his right eye.
Two other passengers, a woman and her 8-year-old son, were taken to UPMC Mercy, Uptown, in stable condition, the complaint said.
Police found several open beers in the car, the complaint stated.
Dooley's grandmother told Channel 11's Amy Marcinkiewicz that she's standing behind her granddaughter.
"She just had a bad day. This isn't like her," said Denise Ford. "The kids are fine. They went to school today. I love them. They're my grandbabies."
According to Channel 11 News exchange partners, Dooley, who did not have a driver's license, was arraigned and has a preliminary hearing Wednesday in municipal court. She is charged with endangering the welfare of children, driving under the influence and other crimes
