MIAMI, FLORIDA — A high speed chase through Miami ends in a dangerous confrontation with police K9 officers.

Police say they spotted the man wanted on felony charges and tried to stop him.

Instead, the man took off in his red Mercury, speeding through residential streets until he turned into a dead end alley.  The driver tried to smash his way through a dumpster and wall but failed.  As officers surrounded the car with their weapons drawn, the man tried to reverse out of the alley, hitting a cruiser and nearly running over officers.  Police K9 officers were released and helped to drag the suspect out of the car and into police custody.  The City of Miami Police Department said on their Facebook page that one of the K9 officers, named Buster, was doing well after suffering minor injuries in the chase.
